This research, entitled the setting basis in the novel ''mastoora´s grief'' by ''Miran Abraham'' aims to indicate the important effect of the setting basis, historically. the study tries to show numerous aspects such as the use of the '' the time and position elements'' as well as "the position types'' and '' time systems and pathways in the face of delays and advances". Researches have concluded that the novel finds itself in a "realism novel" but has a strong and effective description. In the novel, the relationship between time and place and their usage has been inspected, one of the results of this study is that the setting has demonstrated a terrible historical event which is "the Anfal disaster", along with the grief of those people, pointedly women, who have been waiting for their families for the rest of their lives.
