Our research is composed of two major parts:
In the first part, for specifying the outlook of “aestheticism of narration “in tales ,we talked about the word itself and its corresponding analogs “myths, stories “ also what makes the difference between all these genres .
Then we divided types of tales with giving instances for each which such as “fairytales, social tales, religious and parody tales” In narrative, a motif is any recurring element that has symbolic significance in a story.
Through its repetition, a motif can help produce other narrative (or literary) aspects for example as theme or mood. We spoke about (character, place, time, expression, number) motifs in the second part of our thesis.
Bushra Qadr Kaka Muhamad , Muhamad Ahmad Saeed Copyright (c) 2021 Copyright (c)2021Bushra qadr Kaka Muhamad, Muhamad Ahmad Saeed https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ https://huj.uoh.edu.iq/index.php/HUJ/article/view/huj-10358 Sat, 20 Mar 2021 00:00:00 +0000 Types of dialogue in modern Kurdish poetry https://huj.uoh.edu.iq/index.php/HUJ/article/view/huj-10359
This a new research in a variety of dialogue techniques especially in direct dialogue for the new Kurdish poems. Meaning that, any method or concept will not remain the same forever at any stage of life, so even if they stays constant, it will not remain without being affected by changes. As a result, this will lead to the initiation of new genres, so the anecdotal poems is one of the new forms of poems which resulted from the interaction of both story and poetry. One of the well known elements of this new genre is known as (Narrative) which is the basic constructing element of anecdotal poems. A story or incident would be told in a form of poems with the use of narration which this also gives joy to the event and giving a message to the teller that remains in the mind of reader and receiver on the other hand. This form of poems has a long history in the Kurdish literature.
There are tens of love and heroic anecdotes written in the form of poems in the Kurdish literature, and it also left important footages and impact on the contemporary literature of the Kurds. Anwar Qadir is one of the poets of the seventies, and we can find multiple anecdotal poems of him that he wrote after the establishment of Rwanga Group. Among his anecdotal poetry, we can also find narrative stories which shows us the use of narration had a great role in his poems with the techniques of dialogue, monologue, and flashback .
Rawand Hama Jaza Qadhi, Mariwan Omer Hassan Copyright (c) 2021 Rawand Hama Jaza Qadhi, Mariwan Omer Hassan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ https://huj.uoh.edu.iq/index.php/HUJ/article/view/huj-10361 Sat, 20 Mar 2021 00:00:00 +0000 Cognitive Processing for Writing structure in the Kurdish Language https://huj.uoh.edu.iq/index.php/HUJ/article/view/huj-10362
This research entitled (Cognitive Processing for Writing structure in the Kurdish Language) aims to describe the mental processing behind a certain text, which is firstly the plan processing that includes producing thought and organizing ideas. Secondly, there is transfer (change) processing of the thought-related inputs and conceptual contents of the thought output that is considered as the production of the text. Thirdly, there is a review processing, which includes reviewing both reading and writing from the beginning. Since the writing processing is a mental processing, having its own regulations, competencies and skills; so the working memory rates the mental processing for the process of writing, because the main function of this memory is to restrict the processes of receiving information by human being and processing them. These are the topics that have been presented in the first section of this research.
In the second section, the smallest unit in the writing structure in the Kurdish language was taken to activate the mental processing, which is the paragraph, where the composing parts of the paragraph, their combinations and components were presented, according to the mental processing for the thought-related inputs of the text production, through which the cognitive processing of composing the writing structure has been examined and examples from the Kurdish language have been presented to validate this hypothesis.
Shilan Omar Hussein Copyright (c) 2021 Shilan Omar Hussein https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ https://huj.uoh.edu.iq/index.php/HUJ/article/view/huj-10362 Sat, 20 Mar 2021 00:00:00 +0000 The Metaphor image in the poetical works (taman) of the poet (Ahmed Muhamad) https://huj.uoh.edu.iq/index.php/HUJ/article/view/huj-10363
The metaphor according to its importance in the production of different literary images, it contributes through these images to the production of verbal economics by producing a beautiful summary of speech, and in many cases the images of the metaphor are not perceived by the average reader, but rather by the competent reader. Arabs have used this compound since ancient times, and we find that the owners of linguistic puzzles mentioned it in their literature and explained its significance, and so did the poets from the beginnings of Arabic poetry in pre-Islamic literature.
And it became clear to us through the extrapolation of Arabic poetry that the poet comes this compound to refer to the adversity of life and its various misfortunes that afflict a person and that the human being has no authority or ability, and he cannot pay it, because he is idle about it.
This is because this additional compound is a name that is under the rule of the Arab sentence, so it is raised, erected or cited. ICC statute emphasizing that the ICC shall be complementary to national criminal jurisdictions, ICC wants to complement national judicial system not replace them, in this sense it recalling that it is the duty of every State to exercise its criminal jurisdiction over those responsible for international crimes. Complementarity is meant to close gaps in the task of prosecuting perpetrators of international crimes. The principle of complementarity only allows the court to investigate and prosecute crimes and perpetrators, where the concerned state is unwilling or unable genuinely to carry out the investigation or prosecution. The important and main advantages and rationales behind the principle of complementarity are affirming that the most serious crimes of concern to the international community as a whole must not go unpunished. Prosecutions at the domestic level are generally preferred to perform before the ICC because as it generally favours a better access to evidence and testimony and tends to favour the participation to the trial of victims and witnesses and complementarity protects national sovereignty and at the same time promotes state action.

Awara H. The aim of this study is to calculate soil erosion by runoff in the Erbil watershed for different types of land cover and land-use. The soil erosion rate per year was recorded by incorporating environmental data and topographic factors in a grid (30 m resolution) by GIS and remote sensing package. The GIS database layers consist of rainfall erosivity (R), slope length and gradient (LS), soil erodability (K), land cover management (C) and conservation practice (P) criteria were estimated to identify their effects on average annual soil loss in the study area. Potential average annual soil loss of the Erbil watershed has been divided into three classes; low, moderate and high levels. The analysis indicates that 22.8% of the Erbil watershed is at a low-risk level of the soil loss, 9.5% medium-risk, whilst 67.8% it located under a high-risk level of soil erosion. The results indicated that soil loss rate per year estimated for the entire watershed is 14.35 ton. ha-1. yr-1, the study also refers to that most of the soil erosion occurs areas of agricultural activity.
Hasan Mohammed Hameed Copyright (c) 2021 Hasan Mohammed Hameed https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ https://huj.uoh.edu.iq/index.php/HUJ/article/view/huj-10375 Sat, 20 Mar 2021 00:00:00 +0000 Comparison Study between Marshall and Superpave Mix Design Methods https://huj.uoh.edu.iq/index.php/HUJ/article/view/huj-10376
In Iraq most of the highways are paved with asphalt concrete mixtures, and they are typically designed for a design life of 20 years. However, the general performance of these pavements was not satisfied, and they have lasted for shorter periods than the design life age. A decrease in life age occurs especially for the pavements exposed to severe conditions and substantial traffic loadings. The key factor for a better performance of the flexible pavement is considered to be the qualities and quantities of the asphalt concrete ingredients which are governed by the design of the mixtures. To do so, the most common methods are Hveem and Marshal methods so far. However, a new method has been developed by Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) under the name of Superpave which is claimed to have better performance than the aforementioned methods. It has been proven in the literature that the performance of Superpave is better than Marshall in terms exposure to high loads and severe change of temperature.
