Poverty and Natural Disasters in Kurdistan During the Abbasid Period (132-656 AH)

This research aims to explain the phenomenon of poverty caused by natural disasters in Kurdistan during the Abbasid period, presenting historical data and information on natural disasters in terms of location and time of disasters, the impact of these natural phenomena on the concept of poverty as a social phenomenon. As a result, the people of Kurdistan and its population have suffered misery, poverty, migration, and the economic infrastructure of livestock, agriculture, fields, and gardens have been destroyed due to these events. This research is divided into three sections. In the first section, the geographical boundaries of Kurdistan are presented and the most important regions are identified The second chapter presents the geographical nature of Kurdistan in general, while the third chapter is devoted to natural disasters and their impact on the phenomenon of poverty.
