The Tourism Planning and the Development of the Tourist Services for the Province of Halabja

Abstract

The tourism planning is one of the most important contemporary tourism development means, which aims at increasing the individual and national income as well as achieving comprehensive cultural development for all the natural, human and material components of the country. Tourism is an important pillar of the national economy. Yet, and for many decades this sector has not been paid the required attention which if so, it would provide many job opportunities, especially in the Province of Halabja. A city that is characterized by its religious, historic and natural status. The aforementioned represents the most significant factors of tourist attractions. It is worth mentioning here that tourism in Halabja Province can be an effective industry with significant economic outlook if a work strategy has been set in place. Such strategy should be based on the investment of the possible tourism potentials in the forefront of which, the human and natural elements that are represented by the archeological, religious or environmental places. In addition, merging the rural areas in this process can achieve further development and progress, which would reflect positively in favor of the environment and the local population on the economic, cultural and social levels and give rise to actual growth on the local and national levels.
